I make this journal mostly as reference for commissioners but also to learn more about my art myself. I think that whether you are familiar with toned paper or not, this journal is pretty interesting for seeing the difference.

I can understand why some people think the cats are full-color drawings because the cats basically look like that, but the only color there is in the pink and the green/yellow eyes. The paper's color made the black and white drawing look more colorful.

My Grad Cap!
So I graduated from high school the other week and of course I decorated my cap! My initial plan was to paint on the flowers but I decided that I wanted them to be 3D (and gluing on felt is easier). To keep the X-Men logo crisp, I painted it on in one solid color and then created an arrangement of flowers made out of felt to hot glue on top. For some of them I had to put in some sewing effort to give them texture. I really dig it and I hope you do too!

All About Lagoon - 2017
I spent two months constantly drawing a 2ft x 3ft colored pencil drawing in my AP Studio Art Class. This is something I've never done before and I'm pretty happy about the results. Here are lots of closeups!
Because this is such a big deal to me, I thought I'd share WIP photos with you guys. I don't usually share them on DeviantArt, but I'm considering starting to include them as stash links on original drawing posts.
Thanks for checking it out! Let me know your thoughts.
